April is National Volunteer Month. Sandy Chamberlin, HRHS Volunteer Director, introduced the many Wranglers who attended the April 2024 program. The Wranglers help in so many ways every month, from distributing name badges, handing out programs and drawing tickets, directing the flow of program traffic, setting out the cookies and refreshments, and many more!
HRHS has many more people who volunteer their time and talents to keep the Historical Society running smoothly. This includes the Board of Directors, as well as writers, videographers, tour directors, and MORE. Thank you to all who so generously donate expertise and talents to the organization.
The HRHS is in need of more Volunteers. Please contact Sandy Chamberlin HERE to explore opportunities.
Mary Beth and Michael Watkins manned the HRHS table at the recent Volunteer Fair. Mary Beth was “excited to meet many people there who had deep connections to Douglas County homesteads”. What a great way to combine volunteering with history!
