The Highlands Ranch Historical Society loves to participate in local and especially Highlands Ranch Community Events!

DECEMBER 2023 HOMETOWN HOLIDAY –Here we are at the December Hometown Holiday Event at Town Center.  Embracing the brisk weather and handing out HUNDREDS of cookies was Sandy and Paul Chamberlin, Sara Lebofsky, Kathy Colao, Marian Robinson and David Johnston. Here is what HR Metro District posted on Facebook about the event. According to Sandy, “We froze, yet had a fabulous time visiting with people stopping by to enjoy a cookie”   Marian mentioned that “it was so cold, the ink would not even flow out of the pen, as visitors tried to sign up for our Historical Society eblasts, so next year, we will use a Sharpie marker!”.

“Ho-ho-ho! Thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend at the Holiday in the Ranch to celebrate together as a community. The Metro District and Highlands Ranch Community Association helped kick off the holiday season with free, festive fun. We couldn’t have done it without our wonderful community partners, entertainers, volunteers and vendors.”

NOVEMBER 2023 OLDER ADULT HEALTH & RESOURCE FAIR AT EASTRIDGE–Highlands Ranch Historical Society and Friends participated in the 12th Annual Health and Resource Fair held at Eastridge Recreation Center.  This is always a fun event, and this year especially so as the weather was lovely and the participants were many!  Once again Sandy and Paul Chamberlin hosted the HRHS table and provided Historical Information about Highlands Ranch.

Jamie Noebel, Community Relations Manager for HRCA and the ULTIMATE HOSTESS OF THE EVENT, stopped by to say hello to Sandy and Paul and hug her favorite stuffed toy, “Douglas” the Triceratops Dinosaur.

Thanks to all the HRHS Friends and Members who were either helping at the event, or just stopped by to say “hello”
