Rare opportunity to explore this historical venue with the preserved hospital rooms where President Dwight D. Eisenhower stayed 7 weeks after suffering a heart attack in 1955.
The suite is located on the 8th floor of Building 500 at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (formerly Fitzsimons Army Medical Center).
- Visit the 8th floor of Building 500 where Eisenhower recovered from his heart attack in 1955.
- Hear a history of Fitzsimons in the Bushnell Auditorium, where Eisenhower’s staff worked.
- Tour the preserved Eisenhower suite with Neil Krauss, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Initiative and Community Engagement.
- The Eisenhower Suite includes: Presidential hospital room, Secret Service sitting room, Nurses’ station.
