For the third year in row the Highlands Ranch Historical Society (HRHS) has received funding from the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD). The funding helps support the many programs, activities and operations of this non-profit community-based organization. Established in 1991, the Mission of the HRHS is to educate the public about the rich history of Highlands Ranch and to instill pride in Highlands Ranch residents about their community’s historical significance. HRHS conducts outreach through monthly programs and community activities and is also a valuable resource of historic archival information.
According to Vice President Paul McKeag, “It was great news to hear that the Highlands Ranch Historical Society was once again the recipient of a grant from the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) The Society works hard at keeping the history of Highlands Ranch alive and educating the residents of its exciting past. We are very pleased that we have the support of our local community as well as the SCFD”.

From November 10, 2021: Highlands Ranch Historical Society (HRHS) was very honored to receive a grant from the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District for the upcoming year. Paul McKeag, HRHS Vice President, attended the grant ceremony in Douglas County on November 9, 2021. The HRHS is excited to continue preserving the historical riches of this community as well as educating the public on the many interesting and significant events past and present, that make our home so varied and colorful. According to Paul “the SCFD grant will enable the HRHS to reach more community members with the outstanding historical information that can be found in and around Highlands Ranch.
