John Fielder was an honored friend of the Highlands Ranch Historical Society.  We were saddened to hear of his passing on August 12, 2023.

He visited  the Society many times over the last 10 years,  always presenting interesting programs, all with accompanying music.  In addition, he  sold his books, and always contributed a portion of the proceeds to the Historical Society.  His last visit with the HRHS was October of 2021, when he introduced his book about Weld County.

And his book about Colorado’s 14’ers.

So it was a win-win when John visited….members and guests won, as they always filled the Auditorium, enjoyed the presentation, purchased his books, and had personal time with John as he signed books and chatted with each person.

John won as he had the opportunity to provide his books, make new friends, and disseminate his message about Colorado beauty, photographic techniques, and conservation needs.

And the HRHS won as we had a terrific program, and the opportunity to visit with many members and guests.  The proceeds John donated to the HRHS help keep our membership fees low.

John will be missed on many levels.  Thank you for the time you spent with us.John Felder
