- 30 years as a senior business executive in four industries, world-wide
- Previous Board Chair of two large nonprofit organizations
- Board of the Centennial Water & Sanitation District (now Highlands Ranch Water), focusing on saving water and preserving water quality
- Created & led a 300 member Sierra Club legislative team to protect our great outdoors
- Championed the passage of three bipartisan bills in the CO legislature to protect our water & preserve our state parks
- Helped pass one of the first bills in the United States to limit PFAS (a group of forever chemicals that are linked to serious medical issues) in fire-fighting foam that was contaminating the drinking water in the Colorado Springs area.
- Reduced Highlands Ranch Wind Crest Community water usage by 42% (saved 15 million gallons & $57,000 in in water fees annually); this is the annual water usage of 150 Highlands Ranch homes
