HRHS WENT behind the scene and beyond the gate of Daniels Park.  We were fortunate to have a tour and up-close and personal  visit to the barn, caretakers cottage, and gazebo.  This was a rare glimpse into the past, to marvel at the natural beauty of the front range, while learning about the history of Florence Martin and the buffalo.

Shannon Dennison with Denver Mountain Parks was our guide thru buffalo time!!

Following the Park tour, the fun continued at the Daniels Park Picnic Shelter, where lunch was provided, and more tales were heard about the   fascinating history of The Territorial Road, Riley Hill, Pretty Woman Ranch, the Kit Carson Memorial, and the Shelter itself.

Thank you to all who participated, and to Fred Cox for the fabulous photos, and especially Shannon Dennison with Denver Mountain Parks!
