ELVIS VISITED THE HIGHLANDS RANCH HISTORICAL SOCIETY

Aaron Black presented a Tribute to Elvis in Concert show. Yes, Elvis performed for us. (Some lucky ladies got a scarf or a lei.) He also explained how he became an Elvis Tribute Artist (ETA).

The program concluded with a history of Elvis’ connection in Denver and Elvis trivia including the recipe for the Elvis sandwich.

Aaron Black has been performing his Award-Winning Tribute to Elvis for over 25 years. He has won two “Best-in-Show” awards at the Air Force Talent competitions, as well as many other awards, and has performed in two television commercials (one local, one nation-wide).

His four Elvis costumes are authentic $4000 recreations, created by the people who created Elvis’ originals, and are licensed by Elvis’ estate.

Aaron mixed humor and Elvis trivia into his hip-shaking show. He is often asked if he is lip-synching. No, it really is Aaron singing. He also fantastically performed songs as Sinatra and others for us.    As a child, Aaron saw Elvis perform live six times. He met his future wife the day after Elvis died when she asked him about the black armband he was wearing. They became best friends and were married several years later.

HRHS members and guests enjoyed this entertaining and informative program.
