Paul McKeag
Paul, after moving to Colorado in 1990 and researching where he wanted to live, settled in unincorporated Douglas County in 1993. Having concerns relating to land use, the quality of development along the C-470 corridor, and a desire for greater input over development decisions affecting the area’s future, he joined with other like-minded residents in 1994. From that involvement, he was elected Vice Chairman of the Charter Commission, and then Chairman of the Election Commission for the successful incorporation of the City of Lone Tree in 1995. After moving to Highlands Ranch in 1996, Paul became one of the Founding Fathers of the Highlands Ranch Chamber of Commerce, and served as a Board Member. Until business travel caused a conflict, he was a dedicated member of the Metro Districts Park and Recreation Board as well. Paul has also been Santa Claus for children visiting the HR Mansion at Christmas time, and is a current Volunteer Docent for Mansion Tours. His spouse and grown children, along with their families, have greatly enjoyed the area, especially Highlands Ranch.
