In his spare time\, he is an avid hiker and backpacker. He enjoys biking\, fishing\, gardening\, and golfing.  He has been in Colorado since 1984 and a volunteer at Roxborough State Park since 2015. \nMike is involved in raptor monitoring\, Leave No Trace\, History\, and the Colorado Natural Areas Program. He is the president of the Board for both the Friends of Roxborough State Park and the Roxborough Area Historical Society.
