Eisenhower stayed 7 weeks after suffering a heart attack in 1955. \nThe suite is located on the 8th floor of Building 500 at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (formerly Fitzsimons Army Medical Center). \n\nVisit the 8th floor of Building 500 where Eisenhower recovered from his heart attack in 1955.\nHear a history of Fitzsimons in the Bushnell Auditorium\, where Eisenhower’s staff worked.\nTour the preserved Eisenhower suite with Neil Krauss\, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Initiative and Community Engagement.\nThe Eisenhower Suite includes:  Presidential hospital room\, Secret Service sitting room\, Nurses’ station.\nSeveral rooms have been restored as historical time capsules.\nJoin Aurora Historical Society members for an optional lunch ($20 cost) from Modern Market.\nMinimal walking and standing required\, and the tour is indoors.\nOptional activity to walk around the outside area near Building 500.   So much history and beauty in this location.\nThe Building 500 is beautiful\, built and decorated in the Art Deco\, Art Moderne\, and Modernistic military hospital design.\n\n\n \n  \n.
