This video contains the Zoom program, with live comments by Zoom attendees and past residents, as well as pre-recorded segments highlighting early HR  activities in the 80’s.  In April a group of early residents got together to remember the good old early days.  Our thanks to those early residents, including Caryl and Gary Dani, Nancy and Scott Willett, and Phil and Kaye Scott. There is a special segment video about the first house sold in Highlands Ranch—our thanks to Phil and Kaye Scott, the first homeowners, and Paul and Judith Steiner, the current homeowners of the “first house”.

The Highlands Ranch Mansion has evolved  over the past 130 years since the first home was built on this site in 1981.   Over the last 40 years, however, this 27,000 sq. ft. historic landmark has seen a community grow up around it and embrace it for its rich history.   Learn about the Mansion’s Modern History over the last 40 years as Highlands Ranch grew and evolved.   Highlights of the 2010-2012 Renovation will be shared.  Presenters from the Highlands Ranch Metropolitan District and the Mansion:  Susie Appleby,  Volunteer and Historic Programs Coordinator for the HR Mansion; Sherry Eppers, Community Relations Manager, HR Metro District.  Presented at the Highlands Ranch Historical Society Meeting on September 20, 2021 at HR Southridge Recreation Center.
