In continuing our HR Then and Now series, HRHS is proud to present "Murder at the Brown Palace" by Dick Kreck, Author.

Denver author Dick Kreck presents a slide show and discussion of his fact-based book:  Murder at the Brown Palace, a “true story of seduction and betrayal”.

On May 24, 1911, one of the most notorious murders in Denver's history occurred. The riveting tale involves high society, adultery, drugs, multiple murder, and more, all set in Denver's grand old hotel, the Brown Palace. This will be especially interesting for Highlands Ranch residents since there is such a strong connection between the important figures in the book, John Springer and Isabelle, and the Highlands Ranch Mansion.  Attendees will have an opportunity to tour the Mansion, before the program from 6 pm - 7pm.    Step back in time, try to visualize the events from the book.  Visit the upstairs bedrooms where some of the "action" took place!.
