May is National Historic Preservation Month

A time  of celebration and remembrance of communities history, culture, and special places.

The Highlands Ranch Historical Society will be participating in an event  centered around Historic Preservation in HR and Douglas County, at Memories to Digital,

Memories to Digital is a Colorado-based company dedicated to helping people enjoy, share & preserve their memories in a digital format.

Knowing that people have exquisite memories of historic places in Colorado, this presentation will help attendees  learn more about how we can help preserve Colorado's amazing historic places.  Join us for an evening on May 19, when Jennifer Orrigo Charles, interim Director for Colorado Preservation, Inc. (CPI) comes to Memories to Digital to discuss their Endangered Places program and other current Preservation Services Projects underway at CPI. We will also hear from  Nancy Linsenbigler, Board Member for the Highlands Ranch Historical Society (HRHS)  who will be discussing efforts to preserve and educate about history in the Highlands Ranch and Douglas County areas.

You'll hear about the historic locations these organizations are working to preserve, how they help to preserve them, and why these places and their preservation matters.

Bring your own memories of Colorado historical sites to share.
